Tequila Mockingbird

Ingredients

1.5 oz Serrano Infused CaliFino Blanco Tequila, 1 oz Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur, 1 oz fresh lime juice, .75 oz agave syrup, splash of club soda

Step-By-Step

Run lime wedge around rim of glass and dip in salt. Use jalapeño salt for a bit of extra spice! Add tequila, Salerno, lime, and agave to shaker. Add ice and shake until chilled. Fine strain into glass with single large cube. Pour club soda over ice and garnish with dehydrated lime wheel.

Creating a unique and flavorful variation of the traditional margarita is not easy, but the Tequila Mockingbird is a new and refreshing face at the table. The core aspect of the cocktail is the serrano pepper-infused CaliFino Blanco. To make the infused tequila take 2 quarts of raspberries and blackberries and 2 quarts of serrano peppers and place in a gallon jar. Cover the ingredients with tequila and let this sit for a minimum of 5 days. Depending on how spicy you want the drink, let it sit for up to an additional 5 days. The longer it sits the spicier the tequila will become.
